GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) insurance policies are generally sold alongside car finance and can often be unwanted, not required and in many cases, not even valid. Your GAP insurance policy may have therefore been mis-sold to you, and you may be able to claim for a full refund of all premiums paid.
There are a number of circumstance in which you may have been mis-sold GAP insurance. For example if you were not aware that this product was added to your finance, if the policy was not suitable for you (and it is therefore invalid), or if you were told you would not be approved for finance unless you took out the GAP insurance.
If you have GAP insurance and believe it may have been mis-sold, do not delay in completing a claim form.
